The SUNY Office of General Counsel cannot provide legal advice to students or employees of the State University of New York on personal matters. If you have such questions, you should consult your personal counsel or contact the New York State Bar Association.

We also work closely with students, parents and other interested parties who are concerned about various issues such as academic policies and procedures, financial aid, housing, student activities and environmental issues. We work with the student and the campus to resolve these issues on a case-by-case basis.
