Adam Haney

Adam Haney is Assistant Counsel for the State University of New York's Office of General Counsel. Adam is currently responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the SUNY Campuses at Empire State, Plattsburgh, and Potsdam. Prior to joining SUNY, Adam was in private practice as an Associate Attorney at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP in Buffalo, New York, where he specialized in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Adam received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2012 where he served as an Executive Publication Editor for the Buffalo Law Review, graduated from New York University with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in 2006, and graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with high distinction in 2004. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of New York and the District of New Jersey.
