Janna Pfluger-Boucher

Janna Pfluger-Boucher joined the State University of New York as an Associate Counsel in 1998. Prior to joining the Office of University Counsel, she worked for several years as an Associate Counsel at the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., AFSCME, AFL-CIO Legal Department head quarters concentrating in employment litigation, including arguing a case of first impression before the NYS Court of Appeals. In addition to handling academic matters at the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn (Downstate Medical Center), Janna's primary area of responsibility is employment/labor relations matters at SUNY HSCB (DMC). She is a graduate of Albany Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District court for the Northern District of New York. Janna also holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Applied Violin from Ithaca College and was a graduate student studying orchestral performing and chamber music on a Fulbright Scholarship for one year at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary.
