Mr. Dapo Adurogbola has been employed at SUNY College of Optometry since May 1996 and was appointed as the Assistant Chief of Police in February 2001. Assistant Chief Adurogbola is responsible for the operation of the college university police department. In addition, Assistant Chief Adurogbola is responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness and response at the college. In his capacity as coordinator, he is responsible for compliance with federal and state regulations, including training of staff and students. He shares responsibility for the state of readiness of the college.

Assistant Chief Adurogbola holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Pace University and is a graduate of the State University Police Command School as well as a graduate of the State University Basic Police Academy. Assistant Chief Adurogbola is an alumnus of the inaugural SUNY Leadership Program. In addition, assistant Chief Adurogbola has completed numerous specialized training in law enforcement, community leadership, and emergency management

Assistant Chief Adurogbola is an executive board member of the SUNY Police Chiefs Association and a recipient of the Community Spirit Award at the State College of Optometry. Assistant Chief Adurogbola is member of the NYS Chiefs of Police Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and International Association of Emergency Managers.
