Marrisa Trachtenberg, J.D., is Assistant to the President for Policy, Compliance and Presidential Initiatives at Stony Brook University. Ms. Trachtenberg provides advice on policy and compliance matters, responds to various issues brought to the President’s Office, conducts research on special projects, as well as coordinates and implements presidential initiatives. She also serves as Special Assistant Counsel to the Stony Brook Office of General Counsel and works on special legal projects at the direction of the Senior Counsel in Charge. Ms. Trachtenberg graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology, summa cum laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from Stony Brook University. Ms. Trachtenberg earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from SUNY Buffalo Law School.
