Monica Grau has served as the Director of New Student Services at SUNY Oneonta since 2001. Prior to serving as the inaugural director of this office, she had worked in Residence Life as well as in Academic Advisement at Oneonta. Her current role focuses on the transition of new students to the SUNY Oneonta community. She manages the orientation program for freshmen and transfer students, collaborates with colleagues on the first year residential experience and the first year seminar, and strives to provide programming that will support students as they progress through their first year. She served as the chair of the Campus Sexual Assault Response  team for a number of years. She continues to be an ex officio member of the current kNOw Violence committee. She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at SUNY Oneonta. She received her master’s degree from New York University in Higher Education Administration. She is currently enrolled part time in the Community and Public Affairs PhD program.
