Robin B. Braunstein is a graduate of SUNY Oswego and the Syracuse University College of Law. Initially employed in private law practice in Albany, she later became a staff attorney for the Food Law Project. Upon moving back to Central New York, she became and remained for over 25 years the SAF Division Director, initiating and managing the Residential and Non-Residential Domestic Violence, Rape Crisis, Crime Victim, Victim Support, Visitation Center, and Victimization Prevention Programs. She also served as Facilitator of the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition of Oswego County.

Since her retirement, Robin continued to participate in the Legislative Committee of New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. and Legislative Committee of New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. She is the Attorney for Central New York Pride, the Finance Vice President of Congregation Beth Sholom-Chevra Shas, Board Member of Partners in Learning, Inc., (engaging diverse ethno-linguistic families into services), and Co-chair of the Food Task Force of ACTS (Alliance of Committees Transforming Syracuse).
