Susan Blum

Susan Blum has been practicing law in the fields of higher education and academic health care for more than thirty years.  She joined the Stony Brook Regional Office of General Counsel in 1994 following eight years at the Suffolk Regional Office of the New York State Attorney General, with five years as Assistant Attorney General in Charge. 

Prior to this, during her five years in the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, Ms. Blum served as counsel to University of Maryland at Baltimore, University of Maryland Hospital, Morgan State University and Maryland Public Broadcasting.

As Senior Managing Counsel at Stony Brook, she oversees a regional office of seven attorneys as well as paralegals, law interns and fellows.
