John B. King, Jr. joined The State University of New York as its 15th chancellor in January 2023. The chancellor is responsible for management and oversight of 64 college and university campuses located within 30 miles of every home, school, and business in New York State. SUNY is the nation's largest, most comprehensive system of public higher education.
