The SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence acknowledges students for outstanding achievements that have demonstrated the integration of SUNY excellence within many aspects of their lives in areas such as academics, leadership, campus involvement, community service, or the arts. It is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the University.

2022 Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to this year's Award Recipients! Save the Date for the 2022 Awards Ceremony, to be held on April 26th, 2022. The event will take place at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY. Directions to the venue available here.

The Awards ceremony will be held outside under a large tent rain or shine.  The weather in late April in Saratoga can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to check the forecast prior to the ceremony to ensure appropriate attire.

As with all events, we are closely monitoring Covid-19 guidance from Saratoga County and New York State. As this event is outdoors, masks are not required. Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to wear masks.

Arrival Details:

The Awards ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm.  We would like our recipients to arrive at 1:00pm and report to the Student Reception Area. Parking for this event is free. A map for parking options is available here.

Please note, food will not be provided at the ceremony. This website also provides information about local Saratoga options for lunch or dinner dining and other activities to enjoy in Saratoga. We strongly encourage making reservations for dining.

Attendees & Accommodations:

As a recipient, students are able to select two individuals to accompany them to the ceremony. If you or anyone in your party require accessibility accommodations, please reach out to us directly at caseawards@suny.edu to ensure your needs are met. There will be an ASL interpreter at the event. Accessible parking is available at the venue and for those using mobility devices, the access path to the venue is largely flat with a gentle slope on grass. We would like everyone’s experience to be positive and comfortable, so please reach out if there is something we can do.
