Information Security

The SUNY System Administration (SA) U-Wide Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) provides leadership and guidance covering information security throughout SUNY while also providing direct input and management oversight of the SUNY SA information security program. Specific areas of responsibility include providing subject matter expertise relating to U-Wide information security policy and programs, management oversight of the SUNY Security Operations Center (SOC), furnishing cyber security expertise to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, leading the Information Security Working Group (ISWG)/SOC counsel, and working with U-wide shared services to ensure information security concerns are addressed.

Our focus is to provide everyone with the understanding and information necessary to protect themselves and their organization for information/cyber security threats. This starts with policies and procedures designed to keep us all safe. Ultimately, the effectiveness of SUNY System Administration’s information security program depends on all of us.
