When RSVPing, we ask that you upload a photo of yourself, headshot style, to be included in materials and a slideshow for the event. If you do not have a photo ready to upload at the time of RSVPing, please email one to caseawards@suny.edu by April 13, 2026, to be included in the materials. Tips for getting a great photo:
Why is it important to attend the ceremony?
Attending the ceremony allows you to be recognized for your many accomplishments. At the ceremony, you will receive your CASE medallion and an award certificate and have a professional picture taken with the Chancellor and your campus representative.
Who can attend?
You and up to four (4) guests. Guests may include family, friends, professors, or mentors who have helped you to achieve your accomplishments. The RSVP for you and your guests is due by Monday, April 6, 2026.
Where and when do I need to be on April 27?
The ceremony is on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Albany Capital Center in downtown Albany, NY. The event starts at 2:00 p.m.; however, please arrive no later than 1:00 p.m. Please leave your coats, purses, and other belongings with your guests. There you will receive further instructions about the event and head upstairs to be seated.
What should I wear?
The suggested attire is professional. Anything you might wear to a job interview would be appropriate.
What if I cannot attend the ceremony?
We hope you can join us for this special occasion. If you cannot, we ask that you let us know via the Student Award Recipient RSVP, due by Monday, April 6, 2026. This will ensure that your campus representative picks up your certificate and medallion at the end of the ceremony.
How do I get a copy of my professional pictures?
For student recipients who provided consent when they RSVP’d, photos will be posted to the SUNY Facebook page after the event. Photos will also be provided to the campuses to distribute to their award recipients. We anticipate all photos to be posted and available by the end of May.
