Internships

The SUNY Office of General Counsel, located at the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building in Albany, New York, offers internships for law students throughout the academic year and the summer. Interns gain hands-on experience by conducting legal research, writing guidance memos and draft responses, and participating in short-term and long-term legal projects. SUNY interns work closely with General Counsel staff as they provide legal consultation to system and campus clients on a broad range of legal areas, including higher education, disability, contracts and transactions, and administrative matters. SUNY OGC interns also have opportunities to present and train audiences large and small, and develop guidance for SUNY and higher education institutions nationwide.
