Amanda Maleszweski is the Chief Campus Counsel in the Office of General Counsel for The State University of New York, University at Albany. As Chief Campus Counsel, Amanda provides comprehensive legal advice and counsel across the institution, represents the institution in litigation, administrative and other proceedings, and serves on the President's Executive Council. Amanda advises on a wide range of legal issues pertaining to University business including student affairs, labor and employment, Title IX, contracts, research, intercollegiate athletics, internal investigations, First Amendment, ethics, records retention and disclosure, and policy implementation.
Prior to joining SUNY, Amanda worked in the Office of General Counsel with The Research Foundation for The State University of New York and in private practice for more than 10 years where she focused on litigation, labor and employment-related matters, including employee disciplinary arbitrations, civil service hearings and employment-related proceedings conducted by federal and state administrative agencies.
