Kevin M. Hayden joined the State University of New York Office of General Counsel in 2016 as Associate Counsel at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) in Syracuse, New York. He became Chief Campus Counsel at Binghamton University in 2021. As Chief Campus Counsel, Kevin is responsible for overseeing all legal matters for Binghamton University.
Prior to becoming Counsel at SUNY, Kevin was an Assistant Attorney General in the litigation bureau of New York State Attorney General’s Office for three years. Kevin also spent seven years in private practice at Hiscock & Barclay, LLP in Syracuse, as well as three years with White & McSpedon, P.C. in New York, NY. Kevin has extensive litigation experience in the areas of civil rights, labor and employment, legal malpractice and contract disputes. He graduated from Binghamton University in 2000 and Rutgers Law School in 2003.
