Plenary Meetings

The Faculty Council of Community Colleges conducts two plenary meetings each year: one during the Fall Semester and one during the Spring Semester. The plenary meetings are hosted by volunteer campuses from across the state.

Delegates meet to discuss issues of importance to community colleges in New York State. Resolutions on these issues are presented for consideration by the delegates. Presentations are made by the various SUNY System Administration Representatives, including the Chancellor, the Provost, and the Vice-Chancellor for Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline. Liaisons from SUNY's University Faculty Senate (UFS), the Student Assembly, CUNY's Faculty Senate, the New York Community College Trustees (NYCCT), the New York Community College Association of Presidents (NYCCAP), the Community College Business Officers Association (CCBOA), and the SUNY Chief Academic Officers (CAO) also attend.

The Plenary Sessions provide the campus delegates with the opportunity to share their concerns and ideas with one another in a collegial atmosphere.
