Campus and Student Life Committee

Committee Charge

The Committee will serve as a source of professional advice and guidance to the Faculty Council of
Community Colleges on matters relating to campus and student life throughout the SUNY community
college system.

Committee responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Underrepresented Students (e.g. Veterans, First Generation Students, LGBTQ+, Students of Color, etc.);
  • Accessibility to technology as well as universal access for all students to facilities, activities, and
    events;
  • Student Affairs (e.g. residence hall life, student governance, health care, etc.);
  • Wellness and mental health;
  • Student persistence, retention, and completion; and
  • Social and culturally inclusive programs and services.

Liaisons to the Campus and Student Life Committee shall include a representative from the University
Faculty Senate, a representative from the Student Assembly, a representative(s) from SUNY System
Administration, and others as deemed necessary.
