Awards Committee
Committee Charge
The Awards Committee serves as the resource for the Faculty Council of Community Colleges on SUNY Recognition Awards and Programs. The Awards Committee's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Promote the SUNY Chancellor’s Awards and assist the campuses in applying for the awards whenever possible.
- Responsible for the Faculty Council Distinguished Service Award including requesting nominations, reviewing resumes and nomination materials, select the candidate and compose the citation to be awarded.
- Promote the Distinguished Professor Ranks among Community Colleges and assist where possible, in the nomination process.
- Seek new forms of recognition of service for the delegates on the Faculty Council.
- Represent the FCCC on the UFS Awards Committee
- Promote the Conversations in the Discipline program.
